It was one of those months that began slow enough, only to to catapult into a crazy windstorm of plans. I booked a trip to New York City a few months back, then I received a wedding invitation, a party for my grandmother, rescheduled wine tasting weekend with my girlfriends, and turned another year older. All, of course, in the month of April.

Third, the amazing trip to New York City.

I love everything about how fast paced and crazy New York City is. I spent hours walking around new neighborhoods and treated each day as if I lived there: coffee in the morning, browse local shops during the day and head to happy hour in the afternoon. I even went to bed early (well, early for me).

The weather was amazing and I even explored with my best friend who was able to meet me for a few days. Every time I step off the plane I feel like I soak up the energy and usually have a hard time leaving.

Fourth, Wine Tasting in Leavenworth

For those who don’t know, Leavenworth is a small town on highway 2 in Washington state. The main drag is filled with old-timey art and is styled like old Bavaria, even the McDonalds has a mural. My girlfriends and I had been planning this trip of months and due to schedule conflicts finally made the drive.

The town is nestled in the mountains and the weather couldn’t have been better for delicious wine and a great weekend with friends.

Now it’s time for the patio to open at work, the sun to shine more often and for me to buckle down and save to travel more this summer. Maybe even some big life changes in September…
